My Professional Background

My Path & Experience Helping Adolescent Boys
My interest in working with adolescent boys comes not only from my training and professional experience, but also from my own journey through adolescence. Those personal experiences continue to shape the way I connect with clients today. I understand how overwhelming it can feel while facing challenges around self-esteem, identity, family dynamics, friendships, school and expectations.
My early work in a variety of settings, including schools and a psychiatric hospital, provided valuable insight into the unique challenges many adolescent boys encounter. These early experiences in the field of psychology inspired me to focus my work on supporting adolescent boys during this pivotal stage of life.
I strive to create a safe and supportive space where boys can open up, feel understood, and begin building the confidence and resilience they need to thrive.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Pyschology from the University of San Francisco and I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Oregon.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my Australian Cattle Dog, Jeffrey, who happens to be deaf and has taught me so much about patience and resilience. I also enjoy cooking, playing music and attending concerts.
