Life can be stressful. If you are feeling angry or frustrated you have two options:
1. Don’t tell anyone and keep the feelings to yourself (this could result in feeling much worse).
2. Talk to someone and figure out how to get rid of the anger or frustration (this could allow you to feel better about yourself and your life).
Option #2 requires more effort, but it’s worth it. You deserve to be a happier and more confident person.
CHOOSING A THERAPIST
Finding a therapist that you connect with can take some time, but it’s important to find someone that you feel comfortable opening up to. Most therapists will offer a free consultation where you can meet them to learn more about their experience and their approach to counseling.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Believe or not, therapy can be fun, it doesn’t have to be boring. You can work with your therapist to make your sessions more interesting for you.
Therapy is private and confidential. Unless you tell your therapist that you’re going to hurt yourself or someone else, they aren’t allowed to share what you talk about with anyone else.
